Wheeling West Virginia Town Hall with Mollohan

I received a letter from OFA a couple weeks ago, saying I could go online and make an appointment with Congressman Mollohan. It was intended for supporters of the Death-Care Bill, but since I had been trying to get an appointment for months with Mollohan, I decided to try and see if I could actually get in. I made my appointment online for Tuesday at 2:00 PM. I was then instructed to call and verify my appointment.
Upon calling Mollohan's secretary, I was told they knew nothing about this and that Mollohan was not available. Nobody got an appointment, or visit. Where are they getting this "steady flow" at? There aren't many at all in WV's 1st district who support this bill! There were no visits permitted, according to Mollohan's Secretary.

I know you have been getting a lot of emails from me, but I was remiss yesterday in not mentioning this to the whole team:

Last week, an email went out to the whole country from OFA asking people to visit or call their Members of Congress and tell their health care story and ask their representative or senator to please support health insurance reform when they return to Washington. This was so important for the members and their staff to be able to hear the other side of why we so badly need health insurance reform since the noise was so loud from the opposition. These stories helped to remind everyone what we are fighting for and how important this fight really is.

60,000 people signed up to visit or call their representative. This was an amazing response, and something to celebrate.

<b>What's really amazing though is that this idea stemmed from West Virginia. In the 1st District, we had people going in to congressional and senatorial offices every day in shifts so that there was a steady flow of constituents who wanted reform. It was so successful in this district and so many people were being heard that we at OFA decided to take this nationwide. So Americans all over the country signed up and went in every single hour to their respective offices and told their stories, asked for reform and thanked those supporting reform.</b>

60,000 people told their story because of success in West Virginia.

Success and change comes from the bottom up - we have seen this time and time and time again, and I wanted to thank you for all the work you've done thus far. OFA West Virginia has led the way, consistently blowing national goals out of the water as we collect voices and stories for reform, talk to our neighbors on the phone and in their homes and speak to our members of Congress about why we need reform.

Thank you to everyone who has been involved so far in this important fight. All of your work is so important.
